The Global Country of World Peace is planning to develop two campuses for its Maharishi College of Vedic Medicine educational and treatment programs on properties that it owns in Lancaster, Massachusetts and Antrim, New Hampshire.

The Maharishi Vedic Health Center at Lancaster has operated since 1985 as a holistic Vedic health spa. During this time it has gained an international reputation for top-quality holistic health care, and is considered one of the world’s leading health spas, offering programs for rejuvenation, stress reduction, and detoxification. More than $20,000,000 in government grants have been awarded for studies validating the effectiveness of Maharishi Vedic Health Care.

85% of the US population now uses some form of alternative health care. The US spends more money per year on alternative health than on conventional medical care. The spa industry now grosses $5 billion per year, making it only slightly under the movie industry’s box office receipts, and larger than the ski resort industry.

The Maharishi Vedic Health Center in Lancaster has been ranked one of the ten best health spas in the world. Based on the groundswell of interest in our program we are planning to expand our facilities.

In association with our Vedic health programs at Lancaster, we are planning to build educational facilities to train experts in Maharishi Vedic Health Care both in Lancaster, MA and Antrim, NH. The educational programs will be run in association with Maharishi University of Management, a world-recognized institution offering undergraduate and graduate degree programs in the arts, sciences, business, and humanities.

These new Vedic Medical Colleges in Lancaster, MA and Antrim, NH, will be the only colleges in America offering the prevention-oriented Consciousness-BasedSM health care system introduced by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. This exceptionally effective natural system of health care, research shows, significantly lowers sickness rates and relieves many chronic diseases. As part of this discipline of health students will study how the human physiology is an expression of the deepest intelligence of nature. And how to enliven nature’s intelligence, the inner intelligence of the body, through the simple Transcendental Meditation® technique.

Also students will learn study how to measure the level of balance or imbalance in the physiology through the technique of pulse diagnosis. Pulse is the most effective means of gauging the degree of balance and the degree of enlivenment of the inner intelligence.

The most advanced system of health-enhancing architecture will be used for the new Vedic Medical Colleges—Maharishi Vedic architecture—the most ancient system of architecture and planning on earth.  It aligns individual intelligence with Cosmic Intelligence and thereby improves the effectiveness of healing by awakening the body’s inner repair modalities. Research published in peer-review medical and scientific journals is already beginning to document the efficacy of this ancient wisdom.

The facilities in Lancaster and Antrim will be the first major medical centers in the world built using this technology.

The Vedic Medical Colleges will also feature training in treatment modalities and programs that help maintain or restore balance through diet, herbs, daily and seasonal routine, exercise, and traditional purification techniques from the ancient Vedic tradition. These expanded facilities will provide environments ideal for education, health, rejuvenation, and stress reduction.

The Lancaster project is located on a 217-acre parcel, with an anticipated development budget of approximately $133,000,000. The Antrim project is located on a 457-acre parcel and has a proposed development budget of $97,200,000.
